Dr. Alfred Kwon
Dr. Kwon is a 4-year residency trained podiatrist who treats both non-surgical and surgical conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He specializes in sports medicine, trauma, and diabetic foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Kwon graduated from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where he was the class vice president and active with many organizations, including the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Additionally, Dr. Kwon received his Bachelor’s of Science from The Ohio State University and his Master’s of Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Kwon completed his surgical training at St. Barnabas Hospital, a level 1 trauma center, in the Bronx, New York. There he trained with both podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons, receiving a well-rounded education, with additional focus on trauma and diabetic wound care.
As an athlete, Dr. Kwon enjoys involvement in all sorts of sports, most notably, professional dodgeball. In 2018, Dr. Kwon was selected as a member of United States Dodgeball’s Team USA, competing in the Dodgeball World Cup at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Dr. Kwon enjoys staying active with athletes of all ages. While in college and graduate school, he taught taekwondo to children. He is also currently the team physician for USA Dodgeball. In addition to dodgeball and martial arts, Dr. Kwon enjoys backpacking, running, rock climbing, and skiing.
Dr. Kwon is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, and Ohio Foot & Ankle Medical Association.
